Research Interest Area: Ecology & Conservation Biology
Ecological communities are where species that live together play their parts in the economy of nature. Which sets of species pursuing similar ways of life can stably survive together? What regulates their population sizes? How do human-induced disturbances of various different kinds affect the outcomes? And what can we do to minimize our negative impacts? SBS researchers pursue these complex but vital questions in a broad range of systems, using methodologies old, new and still being invented.
