How has your participation in the Bioscience Program had an impact on your career?
The Bioscience Undergraduate Research Program and my experiences doing research were invaluable in terms of preparing me for a career in medicine. I learned how to translate and apply classroom theory and learning to real life experiments.

What advice would you give current students who aspire to follow a similar career path?
Stay curious and work hard. College is an awesome time, enjoy it.

What accomplishments are you most proud of (professionally and/or personally)?
Professionally, I am most proud of making it through medical school alive. I am also proud of getting published on work performed in Professor Erik Jorgensen’s Lab as an undergraduate.  Personally, I am proud that I climbed Devils Tower in Wyoming 5 times while in medical school.
What do you enjoy doing with your free time?  Family?  Hobbies?  Interests?
I enjoy all things mountainous. Mountain biking, skiing, rock-climbing, and camping are the loves of my life.  For vacations I can be spotted cruising down the highway in my newly acquired camper van.
