"I am a second year graduate student. My current project is to identify new players functioning in the glutamate receptor synthesis, trafficking, and other related functions. I use C. elegans as model system. The strategy used is to create “lurching” worms by introducing a gain of function mutation to glr-1 gene. And then I mutate these transgenic worms and screen for potential suppressor(s) and/or enhancer(s). " | |
