We are in the process of an ongoing inventory of the Lepidoptera of Barro Colorado Island, a field station in Panama administered by the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. We are currently compiling a database that will include photographs and descriptions of larvae and adults, information on host plant use and life history traits (pupation time, house construction, behavior, defenses), descriptions of leaf damage, and records of parasitoids (if available). Since 1997 we have collected over 500 species.
